PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 2 outfit St George FC are pleased to announce that Nass Martino and Ivo de Jesus have been appointed as co-coaches for the Saints’ first grade team for 2016.
Both Nass and Ivo are well known and respected at the club, having been both coach and player respectively in recent seasons.
Nass was previously coach of the St George Under 20s in 2010 and 2011, while Ivo hung up his boots after a stellar playing career in the NSL and state leagues, with the Saints in 2011.
After a disappointing 2015 season, the club is looking forward to getting back to a more prominent position next year, as president Ross Gardner stated to Football NSW.
“I’m very excited for the club by the prospect of two young and ambitious coaches joining us and who are very keen to put together a good young side, which will hopefully lay the foundations to get back into PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1.
“Both Nass and Ivo have had experience at this level before, and they have been very thorough and professional in their approach.
“While we, as a board, are taking a long term view, and won’t be expecting instant success, I am sure that they will still do very well”.
