The Life Members of the Illawarra Stingrays and Coniston FC will be holding a special Dedication Day for past Player Ashleigh Connor on the 31st October 2015 at J.J. Kelly Park.
Ashleigh Connor tragically lost her life in a car accident going home from training with the Illawarra Stingrays in 2011.
Ashleigh who played her junior career in the Macarthur area also represented the Rams before going to Marconi and then in 2009 joined the Stingrays.
Ashleigh represented the Australian U20 side in 2008 and in 2009 played for Central Coast Mariners.
It was with the Illawarra Stingrays that Ashleigh really shone leading the club to two Grand Final wins in 2009 and 2010. A striker who had a mischievous nature about her Ashleigh was an inspiration to her team mates and the young players in the club.
A seat will be named in Ashleigh’s honour in the north western corner of J.J.Kelly Park a place Ashleigh and the first grade side would sit prior to playing.
