Burwood FC host first MiniRoos Kick-Off program
Canterbury District Soccer Football Association’s Burwood FC became the first club in the area to run an AIA Vitality MiniRoos Kick-Off program that recently took place at Blair Park.
Having commenced in late September this year, Andrew and Amelia McVeigh along with coaches Max di Rosaio, Amy Clarke and Anna Stone-Lacy provided children with a chance to play football in a fun and inclusive environment.
Young coaches Max, Amy and Anna are putting their playing knowledge and coaching skills to good use as they engage with 11 young players between 5 – 9 years old.
Amy is particularly enjoying working with the girls in the program as Burwood FC reflect the passion and dedication to increasing the female growth of the game in NSW.
Burwood FC plan to expand the program next year, opening their pre-season program to more children in the area as well as providing young coaches with valuable experience ahead of what will be an exciting 2016 season for grassroots football and Burwood FC.
