Football NSW will again be running the F-League in 2016, with FFA committed to working with FNSW in the delivery of the 2016 Competition.

Football NSW are now seeking applications for the 2016 F-League Men’s and Women’s Competitions. Each team that enters the F-League must be endorsed by its Member Federation and players must be registered with FFA.

This competition provides a pathway for elite futsal players, enabling them to pit their skills against the best players from other Member Federations in a Club competition environment. The Men’s F-League Competition has, and continues to be, Football Federation Australia’s identified program to select the nation’s qualifying team to the AFC Futsal Club Championships.

In 2015 the F-League Men’s competition was a nine (9) team competition that was played by teams from ACT, NSW, VIC and Queensland. The 2015 F-League Men’s Premiers were VIC Vipers and Champions were East Coast Heat. The Vipers coincidentally have also qualified to represent Australia at the 2016 AFC Futsal Club Championships.

There was also a seven (7) team Women’s Competition in 2015, with teams competing from NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD, with East Coast Heat being crowned the 2015 F-League Women’s Premiers and Dural Warriors taking out the Championship title.

If you would like to apply to be a part of the 2016 F-League Competition, please contact Emma Salzke via email on emmas@footballnsw.com.au to receive further information on the application process and to receive the application form.

The deadline for applications to be submitted to Football NSW is Friday 27th November 2015 by 5pm.

We understand that this is a short time line, however Football NSW wish to have the Leagues declared prior to Christmas, as it will greatly assist the successful Clubs in planning for the 2016 F-League Competition.
