NWS Koalas welcomes new major sponsor
The Koalas success on and off the field in recent seasons has again been recognised with the announcement that Sydney Medical Service Co-operative Ltd will increase their sponsorship with the Koalas for Season 2016 to become one of the major club sponsors.
As Sydney’s oldest medical deputising service, established in 1966, 1300 Home GP covers the entire metropolitan region from the Greater West to the Northern and Eastern suburbs.
The service operates 24 hours a day 365 days of the year and attends to all patients who hold a Medicare or Veterans Affairs card.
Appointments are made by telephone or online with doctors who then perform home visits to cover patient medical issues that have arisen in the after-hours period with all locums being RACGP certified.
Betty Valledor, the practice manager was enthusiastic in her support for the Koalas and the support for women’s sport.
Ms Valledor said “’our association for the 2015 season was very beneficial so we decided to expand our involvement with the NWS Koalas for 2016 which will include the 1300 Home GP logo on the back of both the home and away playing shirts”.
This is the first of a number of new and expanded club sponsorships that will be announced in coming weeks.
Geoff Yallop from the Koalas Committee said “the Koalas have developed some fantastic sponsor relationships in the last few years including long time sponsor The Epping Club.
This support has been vital to our continued success and we are grateful that 1300 Home GP has given us this vote of confidence.
It is only through the support of our major sponsors that we can provide our players with the resources to remain at the forefront of Women’s Football in NSW.’’
