Football NSW today released the PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Men’s 2016 Season Draw showcasing 26 weeks of top-class football that will reinforce the competition’s position as being one of the leading State League competitions in Australia.

With new faces and a newly promoted team, the 2016 season looks set to be the biggest yet for NSW’s top tier competition.

Hakoah Sydney City East return to NSW’s top tier competition after gaining promotion taking out the 2015 PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Men’s 2 competition.

Formed in 1939 as Sydney Hakoah, the club played in the old National Soccer League and were regarded as one of the most successful sides in New South Wales.

Football NSW will once again introduce the special ‘Heritage Round’ that debuted in 2015.

Round 12 marks the second annual Heritage Round, celebrating the rich football histories of the clubs in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles will face the Rockdale City Suns, and Sydney Olympic will host APIA Leichhardt Tigers at the historic Belmore Sports Ground.

Hakoah Sydney City East get their chance to honour the past as they verse Wollongong Wolves at home.

Sutherland Sharks play their coastal counterparts Manly United at Seymour Shaw, Parramatta FC host Blacktown Spartans, whilst Blacktown City head to Edensor Park to take on Sydney United 58 FC.

“It’s certainly going to be a big year for all clubs, players, officials and fans this season,” said Football NSW Head of Competitions Troy McColl.

“During the off-season we have already seen a number of fantastic signings by PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Men’s clubs which will only further the excitement of this ever growing competition.”
