Koalas celebrate the start of season 2016
The North West Sydney Koalas started season 2016 with a celebration on Saturday 13th of February at the Epping Club.
This was a celebration of some milestones prior to kicking off the new season.
It was a recognition of the achievement of the Club in securing training and playing facilities in the club’s local area; it was a celebration of the appointment of a new young, dynamic coaching staff for season 2016 and it was a celebration of the support that the club have received from its sponsors heading into season 2016.
The club welcomed on board all its season sponsors for 2016 and unveiled the 2016 playing and training gear which showcases its major sponsors, The Ranch, FDC Construction and Fitout, Inspirations – Gladesville and Burwood Heights, 1300 Home GP and The Epping Club.
The event attended by sponsors, representatives of the football community, local Councillors and of course our players and families was a chance to raise the curtain on the season ahead.
It also allowed the club to make some exciting team announcements which included the return to the Koalas of Rachael Doyle who started with the Club as a 12-year-old and has retuned not just as a player but also to the club’s coaching staff as their new under 13’s coach.
She joins a playing group that is destined to provide some very entertaining football as well as stiff competition in the PS4 NPL NSW Women’s competition.
The buzz in the room certainly showed all those in attendance that the club is focussed on success and that all those involved are passionate in achieving positive outcomes both on the field and through the development of women’s football in North West Sydney.
