FNSW Roadshow headlines Shoalhaven
The Football NSW Southern Regional Roadshow continued its promotional run through to Shoalhaven Heads via Kangaroo Valley with the Shoalhaven Public School hit with football fever.
The Football NSW coaching trio of Oscar Gonzalez, Renee Rollason and Servet Uzunlar wasted no time in setting up their sessions as the young students enjoyed a three hour clinic which saw the pupils enjoy various physical and technical challenges as well as playing matches against each other.
The staff also assisted with special talks about RESPECT which also forms part of the local school’s core values.
“These talks were excellent and were brilliantly delivered by the Football NSW staff which I am sure will make the students think twice about their behaviour and conduct in the future,” stated one excited Shoalhaven Public School Teacher.
Later that day, an AIA Vitality MiniRoos session was hosted by Shoalhaven FC and was well attended by both players and coaches alike as Rollason and Uzunlar put all players through Discovery and Skill Acquisition Sessions.
Shoalhaven FC’s Coaching Coordinator Brad Banks, who oversees almost 300 junior players, was elated with the training sessions put together by the Football NSW team.
“It was a tremendous pleasure to host Football NSW with special guests like former Matildas stars Renee and Servet.
“We would like to thank Mark Johnston for all the hard work he has done to help make this happen.
“His continued work when this is over will ensure that the 10, 11 and 12 year old’s benefit and come through the development process as strong as possible.”
Johnston, the Technical Director for the Shoalhaven Association, stated to Football NSW that the football programs are ever growing and are sparking more interest within the area.
“Our programs are growing to the point where parents are asking for more.
“This visit from Football NSW helps us deliver better programs and will assist us in developing our numbers across the board.”
Wednesday sees the Football NSW team hit the Princess Highway making their way to the home of the Eurobodalla Association in Merimbula for another day of football festivities.
