Gilgandra Gala Day a success

Over 30 coaches and parents braved wintery conditions as the 2016 Grassroots Coaching Certificate session took centre stage at the Gilgandra Gala Day last Saturday.

Participants from the Western Plains Association took in what was an insightful coaching course for everyone involved.

Football NSW’s Regional Coach & Development Manager for Western Andrew Fearnley was delighted with how the day transpired.

“It was great see what was a decent turn out of coaches and parents interested in taking their skills to the next level.

“Teams from Gilgandra, Nyngan, Trangie, Tottenham and Warren also participated with the event as teams played numerous matches and also took part in skills sessions throughout the course of the day.

“The thirst for more knowledge is at a premium in Western NSW and I know that there are more enthusiastic coaches and parents chomping at the bit to be part of the next organised Grassroots Coaching Certificate session.”
