It’s crunch time in the PlayStation 4 NSW NPL Women’s competition with only three rounds remaining.

Blacktown Spartans V Manly United

At Blacktown Football Park on Sunday afternoon, the Blacktown Spartans take on Manly United.

Manly seem unstoppable at the moment and flying high in fourth place on a nine match unbeaten run, dating back to round 7.

A victory here would inch them a step closer to finals football and with Remy Siemsen leading the line, a victory is likely for the Northern Beaches side.

A long list of injuries throughout the season have effected Paul Costantini’s side’s fight for a finals place.

Their aspirations were all but ended last week and will now play from pride as they build their side for next season.

Illawarra Stingrays V Macarthur Rams

A real battle is in place for JJ Kelly Park as the Illawarra Stingrays host the Macarthur Rams.

The Stingrays Premiership hopes are just about over with only a mathematical chance of them taking it out remaining.

In saying that though, the Stingrays have not yet consolidated their finals position and one of those teams chasing them down are the Rams.

Thus why the Rams cannot afford to drop any points on Sunday afternoon down the South Coast.

Sitting just outside the top four, any dropped points could prove to be a real thorn in their finals hopes.

These are two teams filled with young talent and of course fantastic players with great experience.

The Stingrays came out on top last time they met, winning 2-0, this one will be tight and can go either way.

Football NSW Institute V Sydney University

Football NSW Institute will take on the Champions, Sydney University, on Sunday at Valentine Sports Park.

The Institute must take points from all their remaining matches to avoid last place on the competition ladder.

They are missing a number of players through Young Matilda’s duty but don’t expect them to give up.

Uni are in a similar situation, missing a number of key players in their squad also but will have to put all that behind them on the weekend.

They still have a chance for the Premiership, as slim as it may be, but must register all three wins in their remaining fixtures and hope the Koalas slip up.

Uni won comfortable in round seven, taking a 3-0 victory.

North Shore Mariners V North West Sydney Koalas

Some would call it a local derby at Northbridge Oval on Sunday as the North Shore Mariners host the North West Sydney Koalas.

Sitting five points out of the top four, finals is not quite out of reach for the Mariners squad.

With quality players sprayed all over the park, they’ll continue their fight till there is a chance of playing finals football.

The Koalas hold the Premiership with one hand, they could have two on it by 5:30pm late on Sunday afternoon.

They have been fantastic this season and Stephen Peters’ will be proud of his girls and would want to finish the job on the weekend.

It was tight last time they played and what will probably be the same this time.

The Koalas won 1-0.
