Over 4,000 Western Sydney junior footballers will get to meet their heroes on Saturday when the Western Sydney Wanderers visit grassroots clubs this weekend.

Every player in the Hyundai A-League team will be heading to a local club throughout Western Sydney to meet junior players, club officials and association representatives.

Since day one, the Wanderers have worked hard to engage with local grassroots football which included 472 player appearances last season alone: seeing the club win Football Federation Australia’s inaugural Community Champions Award. Saturday will take the club’s community engagement to the next step.

Players will be visiting clubs from Camden in the South to Blue Mountains in the West and as far as Richmond, Macquarie Park and Birrong as six of the eight football associations in Western Sydney receive a visit.
