Week one of the PlayStation 4 NSW NPL Women’s finals are set to take off this weekend.

Elimination Final – Manly United vs Macarthur Rams

It will be the end of the road for either Manly United or the Macarthur Rams on Saturday afternoon at Cromer Park.

It has been a season to remember for the young side from Manly, sitting in bottom place with no wins after four rounds, to turn it all around and find themselves in the finals.

12 games unbeaten, United come into this one a team full of confidence.

With youngster Remy Siemsen in fine form, Manly will fancy their chances to come one step closer to the Grand Final.

It seems as though Macarthur will always be in the finals.

A mid season drop of form was thrown out the window when they won four of their last six, drawing the other two to close out the campaign.

They only assured their spot in the finals on the last day but Leena Khamis, playing like a lady possessed, will have the Rams firing.

It has been tough to separate the two so far this season and this will be another game that will go down to the wire.

The Rams won the first after overcoming a half time deficit, while the second was a scoreless draw.

RND 2 – Manly United 1-2 Macarthur Rams

RND 11 – Macarthur Rams 0-0 Manly United

Qualifying Final – Sydney University VS North West Sydney Koalas

On Sunday two teams will have their first chance to play in the 2016 Grand Final as Sydney University and the North West Sydney Koalas do battle at Lilys Stadium.

It has been a two-horse battle so far throughout the whole season, beginning all the way back in the Preseason Cup.

The Koalas seemed to have the Premiership tied up but a final day stumble meant that Uni took the title by the slightest of margins, by one point.

For Uni, there is no question that on paper they are one of the strongest teams in the competition.

Heather Garriock has the side well drilled and will look to ensure her team books their place in the Grand Final.

The Koalas would’ve been disappointed with how their season finished after surprising many and leading the competition for a long period.

Stephen Peters’ side plays fantastic football and their position on the table has shown that.

With some fire in their belly from how they lost the Premiership, revenge may be on the cards for this team.

The battles between the two started in the Preseason Cup where Uni comfortably took the title.

Uni then took the points in round 2 and round 11 to complete a hat-trick of wins over the Koalas this season.

RND 2 – North West Sydney Koalas 0-1 Sydney University

RND 11 – Sydney University 3-0 North West Sydney Koalas
