Northern Suburbs Football Association based club Hornsby Heights FC recently ran a successful ‘Come and Try’ Girls Football evening on Friday 27th of January in conjunction with Football NSW in assisting with the continual promotion of the female game.

Westfield Matildas star Chloe Logarzo along with Football NSW Game Development Officer for Women and Girls’ Servet Uzunlar and Development Officer for ALDI MiniRoos Zac Ribeiro were on hand in assisting with training drills, skills sessions, playing matches and fun activities.

Uzunlar was delighted with the turn out on the night and believed that the evening made an impact on young girls wanting to register for the new football season in 2017.

“Judging from the smiles on their faces I would safely say that the Girls were pretty happy with how the evening turned out with them wanting to play football for this season.

“Chloe and Zac were fantastic and the club was happy to have had us.

“We hope to do more events such as this with other clubs from across NSW in coming months.”
