BDAFA Women’s Football Festival in full swing

After receiving a grant from the City of Canterbury Bankstown Council, Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) in conjunction with its partners are running a series of events to encourage more women to become involved in the game of Football.

The festival will include the following events:

·         Come & Try Gala Day (Sunday 5th March): This event will have a number of skill training sessions and competitions where young girls can develop their football skills. Both Sydney based W-League Clubs will be in attendance as well as representatives from the various BDAFA member Clubs. The event will be a great way to encourage young girls to play football this season.

·         Running Your Club (Tuesday 7th March): This event is designed to assist existing and potential Club Volunteers to have a better understanding on how to run a Club. Clubs are quite a difficult business to run these days with various areas of expertise required. This is a great way to develop your skills as a football administrator.

·         Coaching Course (Sunday 12th March): Become a Grassroots Coach (be able to coach 5-8 year old) and develop the skills required to coach our future generation of players. This course is the beginners course and will be the start of a successful coaching career.

·         Referees Course (Sunday 19th March): Want to stay fit? Meet new lifelong friends? Then become a Football referee. This introductory course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to commence your career as a Football referee and who knows you could be the next Hyundai A-League or W-League referee!

All events are free of charge so come along and be part of this awesome festival of football.
