ALDI MiniRoos hype hits Pagewood Botany

Eastern Suburbs Football Association side Pagewood Botany were treated to an ALDI MiniRoos activation om Saturday 1st of April at Jellicoe Park as parents, players and club representatives filled the park throughout the morning along with special guest, Maloo the Socceroos Mascot.
Further promoting the world game, the special activation encompassed various skills and drills that kept the youngsters on their toes in what was a fun filled day for everyone involved.
Football NSW ALDI MiniRoos Game Development Officer Zac Ribeiro praised Pagewood Botany’s effort with its promotion of the ALDI MiniRoos program.
“It is an exciting time for Football NSW as we launch our Community Activations for the 2017 winter football grassroots season.
“I would like to thank Pagewood Botany for welcoming us on the day and credit them on the great work they are doing at their club with the development of ALDI MiniRoos being one of their main focuses.”
Pagewood Botany Secretary Julia Chernoukha was delighted with how the day unfolded.
“Pagewood Botany FC would like to pass on a big thank you to FFA and Football NSW for supporting the season opening day for our ALDI Miniroos.
“The ALDI target goal and Maloo made the morning full of excitement for the kids.
“Jellicoe Park would not be setup so well if the club did not have the support of Botany Bay Council (now Bayside East) for the last 10 years to transform the ground.
“Our State and Federal members such as Matt Thistlewaite and Ron Hoenig, as well as past and current board members have embraced the Small-Sided Games/Miniroos concept from get go.
“We are lucky to have passionate, hard-working people who support the club and we believe Grassroots football is the key to future of football development."
