We have reached the halfway point of the competition as the ladder has started to take shape as the race for the top four continues.

This week’s match of the round sees Sutherland Shire FA take on Sydney Olympic FC.

Inter Lions vs Marconi Stallions, Sunday 11th June, 3pm, Concord Oval

Two sides that are desperate to get back to winning ways clash at Concord Oval Sunday afternoon to kick off the round of action.

The two sides saw themselves on the losing side of the ledger last weekend as Inter Lions lost 5-2 while Stallions narrowly fell to Sutherland Shire FA.

Inter Lions thought they turned the corner after an encouraging draw against Nepean FC but Claude De Francesco needs to rally his troops against sixth place Marconi Stallions.

Both sides know they need to start racking up some results if they want to figure in the finals series in later months which makes for a good contest.

Match of the Round: Sutherland Shire FA vs Sydney Olympic FC, Sunday 11th June, 3pm Harrie Denning Centre

It is a top of the table clash for the Match of the Round this weekend as Sutherland Shire FA welcome Sydney Olympic FC to the Harrie Denning Centre.

Both continued on their winning ways in the previous round as Sutherland Shire maintained their two point advantage over the talented Olympic side.

Sunday afternoon also sees the battle between the top two scorers in PS4 NPL 2 NSW Women’s in Jordan Baker and Madeleine Costanzo.

At the other end experienced Olympic keeper Chloe Avgoustou will kept busy against a fearsome Shire attack that lead the competition with 22 goals thus far this season.

Sydney Olympic are no pushovers themselves with a four game undefeated streak coming into this weekend which makes for a mouthwatering Match of the Round.

Central Coast Mariners vs Nepean FC, Sunday 11th June, 3pm, Pluim Park

The Mariners recent good form will face a stern test as third placed Nepean FC come up the highway this weekend.

Both teams had good victories last weekend as Mariners won 2-nil while Nepean FC came back from Nowra with all three points.

Coach Mark Yule has the Mariners side set up well as they built a string of positive results to spring up to fifth on the ladder led well by Oriana Keane’s goals on field.

Nepean FC has been the quiet achievers thus far this season but sit comfortably in third, five games undefeated as their forwards have started firing.

Sunday afternoon will be a intriguing contest as Central Coast Mariners look to unseat the current top four structure.

Southern Branch FC vs Bankstown City FC, Sunday 11th June 3pm, South Nowra Football Complex

Bankstown City FC sit in fourth after a string of impressive results as they head to eighth place Southern Branch FC to continue the roll.

The Lions were triumphant in a 5-2 goalfest against Inter Lions while Southern Branch succumbed to Nepean FC 3-nil in the first game of their home stand.

Troy Spink has the Lions roaring at full pelt with Tania Baban, Joanna Martino and Samantha Muscat all finding the net in recent weeks.

Southern Branch always have the capability to surprise and at home could surprise a Bankstown City Lions side that can concede goals.
