Some sensational football was on show over the recent weekend as Valentine Sports Park played host to The Big Issue’s annual CSSP National Camp and Championships.
Six teams made up of players from around the country, who take part in The Big Issue’s Community Street Soccer Program, fought it out for the right to be crowned national champions.
The Big Issue’s Community Street Soccer Program uses the power of sport to change lives and that sensational spirit was certainly on show all weekend as NSW Metro (made up of players from Sydney and Parramatta programs) took out the Championship Cup with WA/SA (made up of players from Perth and Adelaide programs) claiming the Fair Play Award Cup.
In addition to the competition football on show, a number of other community development activities were available including an inspiring talk from former Socceroo Craig Foster.
