Inching toward the end of thePlayStation®4 NPL NSW Women’s competition, four teams are in the hunt for the Premiership.

Macarthur Rams v North Shore Mariners

At Lynwood Park on Sunday afternoon, the Macarthur Rams take on the North Shore Mariners.

It’s must win for both teams in what is billed as do or die for them.

The Rams suffered a humbling 5-0 defeat last week and subsequently lost first place, something they’ve held onto for much of the season.

Norm Boardman will need an immediate reaction from his girls on Sunday if they are to take out the Premiership.

It’s been a fine second half of the season for the Mariners but they may have left it too late as they run out of time.

A tight but important win last week has kept their slim finals hopes alive for at least another week.

The Rams won the first match between the two, 1-0.

Northern Tigers v Sydney University

North Turramurra Recreational Area will host the fixture between the Northern Tigers and Sydney University.

Safe from finishing at the bottom and out of the finals race, it would seem the Tigers have nothing to play for.

On the contrary, the club championship is of massive importance and the Tigers must pick up as many points as possible in their remaining games to avoid bottom place on it.

Heather Garriock’s team is coming together slowly after a large number of injuries and three straight wins has thrown them back in contention for the Premiership.

A win here will really set up next week’s blockbuster clash against the Macarthur Rams.

Uni won the first clash 4-0.

Manly United v NWS Koalas

At 5pm on Sunday Manly United take on the North West Sydney Koalas at Cromer Park.

Chris Williams’ team is flying at the moment and have given themselves a real chance at taking out the Premiership.

Having won four on the bounce and with two games in hand, United will believe they can sneak in to the top of the league.

The Koalas have no chance of making the finals and thus come into this one with nothing to lose.

Stephen Peters will be looking at his squad for next season with the girls fighting for their positions.

The Koalas drew 1-1 with Manly last time and will be hoping for the same in an attempt to thwart their Premiership chances.

Blacktown Spartans v Football NSW Institute (Rescheduled for August 2)

The Blacktown Spartans and Football NSW Institute will play their match on the 2nd of August at 7:30pm, at Blacktown Football Park.
