North West Sydney Women’s Football celebrated the 2017 season in grand style last Sunday with their ALDI MiniRoos presentations alongside their Grand Final Day for competitive age groups.

Held at the picturesque Morrison Bay Ovals in Putney, with games also at Bremner and Bill Mitchell Ovals, over 800 girls played their last ALDI MiniRoos games for 2017 before receiving their season medals at the Association presentation marquee.

Grand Finals were also played in age groups from U12s to O30’s and nearly 650 girls and women received their presentations as Premiers, Champions and Grand Final runners up.

Football NSW successfully ran who the ALDI MiniRoos shooting wall and ALDI Fresh Fruit Give Away on the day.

Western Sydney Wanderers supported the day with their “Dribbling Zone” and the Association provided a football themed jumping castle for the junior players.

ALDI MiniRoos medals were presented across the day by special guests including Matildas’ goalkeeper Casey Dumont, Young Matilda and NWS Koalas Captain, Natalie Tobin and NWS Koala, Rachel Perrin.

The day was also supported by Football NSW CEO, Stuart Hodge and newly-appointed Football NSW Women’s Development Manager, Jo Fernandes. Football NSW Board Member and NWSWF Life Member, Jeanette Jones was joined by fellow NWSWF Life Members, Joe Calvi, Adrian Jones, Lee Owens, Jeff Saul, Krissy Smith and Paul Woolford.

The day was superbly run by NSWWF GM Denise Robinson and the dedicated Board & Committee members supported by a band of energetic and hardworking volunteers from local clubs.

All in all, it was a sensational day and a great way to wrap-up the 2017 season.
