There will be a strong force of NSW referees, assistant referees, fourth officials and video assistant referees with the commencement of the Hyundai A-League, W-League and Y-League seasons kicking off for the 2017-2018 further cementing the state’s continual development of match officials.

The Hyundai A-League will showcase three referees from NSW with the NPL NSW Men’s Referee of the Year Kurt Ams headlining a panel alongside the experienced Kris Griffith-Jones and Stephen Lucas.

Veteran whistleblower Strebre Delovski will play a hand as a video assistant referee while Adrian Arndt and Ben Abraham will both have fourth official duties this season.

Scot Edeling, Andrej Giev, Lance Greeenshields, Matthew McOrist, Kearney Robinson and James Tesoriero will also feature as assistant referees.

The Westfield W-League will see the Women’s NPL Referee of the Year Kelly Jones officiate along with Katie Patterson while Avrol Beecham, Anastasia Filocouridis, Sarah Ho and Maggie Price will all feature as assistant referees.

While finally in the Foxtel Y-League, rising match officials Adrian Brett, Hassan Jomaa, Hugh Carwardine, Jack Casey, Jarryd McFarlane, Michael Bailey and Nathan McOrist will all have their first taste of officiating at an elite level with the hope of one day taking charge of a fully-fledged Hyundai A-League match.
