Opening Futsal Cup Round ready to rock
Football NSW has officially released the match schedule for the inaugural Futsal Cup competition proudly presented by Indoor 5’s with a number of mouth-watering clashes set to hit the Indoor facility at Valentine Sports Park on Wednesday 25th of October.
Both the Men’s and Women’s competitions will showcase some exciting encounters but none more so than the replay of last season’s Men’s SELECT Futsal Premier League Grand Final which will feature Inner West Magic taking on Dural Warriors.
Another exciting Men’s match will feature the only grassroots club that has entered this prestigious tournament, Rebels FC hailing from Bankstown’s Just Futsal facing SELECT Premier League side UTS Northside.
The Women’s matches will be evenly poised with some intriguing match ups – there will be two SELECT Premier League battles which will feature UTS Northside taking on Mountain Majik while Enfield All Stars tackle Quake Futsal Club.
Football NSW Head of Competitions Troy McColl was eagerly anticipating the commencement of the Futsal Cup tournament.
“Thanks to Indoor 5’s, this will certainly be a special tournament for Football NSW as it is our inaugural Futsal Cup which will pit a number of high quality teams set to battle it out for the coveted title of being crowned Champions.
“One things for certain, the Futsal action will be at its very best as we will see a number of talented players on show from both genders and all competitions in NSW that will surely be a spectacle in itself.”
Indoor 5’s Director Frank Rossi was proud to be sponsoring such a major Futsal event.

This newly created tournament replaces the Men’s and Women’s age groups in the Futsal State Championships and provides Futsal Clubs and Affiliated Local Futsal Centre teams an opportunity to play in an elite Futsal tournament.
The Champions and Runners up in both the Men’s and Women’s will receive prize money as an extra incentive along with the plaudits of being crowned the best in the state.
All matches of the 2017 Football NSW Futsal Cup will be played at Valentine Sports Park, with matches being held on Tuesday/Wednesday evenings from October right through till December.
This tournament will feature SELECT Futsal Premier League, SELECT Futsal Premier League 2 and Futsal State League Clubs, along with a team from an Affiliated Local Futsal Centre, with all teams gunning for that one prize in being crowned Futsal Cup Champions.
The Grand Finals will take place on Wednesday 13th of December, where Valentine Sports Park will once more host what will be an exciting tournament for all involved.
