Round 1 Futsal Cup action coming to a close

Some cracking final matches have been scheduled for the final lot of round 1 fixtures taking shape for this year’s inaugural Futsal Cup competition in both the men and women categories for this Tuesday 7th of November and Wednesday 8th of November at Football NSW’s Valentine Sports Park.

Proudly presented by Indoor 5’s, Tuesday evening will see an exciting fixture as SELECT Futsal Premier League outfit UTS Northside take on the only grassroots Futsal team to have entered the Cup, Rebels FC. UTS, currently sit fourth after four rounds with two wins and two losses will face that of an unknown side who do boost players with SELECT Futsal Premier League 2 and outdoor NPL 2 and 3 experience. Currently playing at Bankstown’s Just Futsal venue in Division 1, the Rebels FC side will look towards claiming a major scalp should they succeed with kick off set for 6:30pm.

Following this match on Tuesday, another classic men’s encounter will see Cup’s most talked about match up as it will be a replay of the 2016/17 SELECT Futsal Premier League Grand Final as the Inner West Magic take on the Dural Warriors at 8:30pm. The Magic currently sitting second in the top tier competition will face the current league leaders and from all reports will be one game not to be missed.

The Women’s category will see SELECT Futsal Premier League 2 side Phoenix Futsal Club take on Futsal State League outfit UNSW in an interesting encounter at 7:30pm. UNSW, a new club to Futsal, will look towards making a name for themselves hoping to bounce out the Phoenix girls who currently sit fourth in their respective competition.

Wednesday fixtures will be just as huge as the Vipers take on SD Raiders Futsal Club in an exciting men’s match up at 8:30pm.

Vipers, currently sitting in sixth position the SELECT Futsal Premier League will need to be at their best as they take on a hungry Raiders outfit currently sitting second in the Futsal State League.

While finally the night’s other match will see the Enfield All Stars tackle Quake Futsal Club at 7:30pm.

The two teams have already met in the SELECT Futsal Premier League with the All Stars running out 3-2 victors on the night.

The match dates for round 2 have already been finalised with matches scheduled to be played on Tuesday 14th November, Tuesday 21st November, Wednesday 22nd November and Wednesday 29th November.
