Known for being Australia’s longest running Christmas party for children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, Football NSW took part in the Variety Children’s Christmas Party festivities on Tuesday 21st of November at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

Celebrating their 31st year of Christmas and giving, Football NSW was invited to join in on the fun and provide excitement on the day to over 5000 kids ranging from four to twelve-year old’s.

Football NSW Development Officers Lauren Moore and Zac Ribeiro took down the Activation of the ALDI MiniRoos shooting target for the children to participate in.

Goodies were also given to the kids as pens, stickers, mini stress balls and bottles were also on the menu.

Being the most participated sport in Australia, all the children flocked the ALDI activation MiniRoos shooting target once again showcasing how powerful the sport of football really is.

Moore was particularly impressed with how determined the kids were in hitting the targets and was delighted with the smiles that she saw on the day.

“The children got right into this and were ecstatic when they got it in the intended direction of the target.

“Some of the children were determined that they weren’t leaving until they got it in, while others just enjoyed taking their shot and had a genuine attempt.

“We had many visits throughout the day but what we enjoyed the most was seeing their smiling faces.”

The event organizer Claudia Hardie thanked Football NSW for attending and hoped that we would be back for another successful year next year.
