Futsal Cup Finals ready to rock ‘n’ roll
The inaugural 2017 Futsal Cup Grand Finals proudly presented by Indoor 5’s will take shape on Wednesday 31st of January with two cracking Men and Women’s clashes set to take centre stage at Football NSW’s Valentine Sports Park.
The Women’s match up will feature the Mascot Vipers taking on fellow SELECT Futsal Premier League rivals Dural Warriors in what will be a huge clash with some quality players on show.
The 7pm kick-off will have the fans rocking in as the match promises to be a blockbuster event with the two side’s having met each other twice this season.
Round 2 saw the Warriors smack their opponents 5-1 before seeing the reversal in Round 9 when the Vipers won 4-1.
The Vipers run to the big dance saw the side defeat IFS Futsal Club 4-1 in Round 1 before defeating Phoenix Futsal Club 2-0 while the semi-final saw them dispose of UTS 3-2 in what was a thrilling encounter.
The Warriors had the luck of having round 1 off due to a bye before defeating the Inner West Magic 2-1 followed by a 2-1 semi-final victory over the Boomerangs FS after extra time.
The Men’s encounter at 8:30pm will showcase some of Futsal’s best male talent as the Inner West Magic tackle the Campbelltown City Quake.
The two teams have met only once this year with the Quake winning an epic round six encounter 4-3 – the two will battle it out in the SELECT Futsal Premier League for their round 13 clash the weekend after the Futsal Cup Final.
The Quake’s run to the final saw them hammer both IFS Futsal Club (7-2) and Phoenix Futsal Club (7-1) before ending Boomerangs FS dreams with a 3-1 victory in the semi final.
While finally for the Magic, round 1 started off with a 4-2 win over the Dural Warriors, 3-2 victory over the SD Raiders Fustal Club followed by a 5-1 victory over the Mountain Majik.
