While the commencement of the National Premier League is the conversation on everyone’s lips, so too is Female Football Week.

The nationwide initiative which kicked off on the 2nd of March this year, is to firstly celebrate the immense growth which women’s football has experienced from the Westfield Matildas all the way through to our Girls Only ALDI MiniRoos; but also promote the important role which women play within our community.

Football NSW in conjunction with many of our clubs and associations, have teamed up to celebrate the momentous week for females.

This weekend will see the official kick off for the 2018 National Premier League season (10th – 11th of March), our NPL Clubs will be offering free admission to games this weekend for female spectators (check with your local Club). While our teams within the National Premier League Women competitions will be boasting some new shoelaces, with all teams receiving purple shoelaces to wear during their games over the weekend.

With inclusion at the forefront of our mindset within football, we also have exclusive female only events for our coaches and officials.

This weekend at Valentine Sports Park, Football NSW is hosting a ‘C’ Level Part 1 Coaching Course, as well as a Level 4 Referee Course.
