2018 Girls NTC Challenge – Day 1
Football NSW’s Under 17 Girls NTC squad kicked off the 2018 Girls NTC Challenge in style defeating both Victoria and the Emerging Jets in the opening Girls NTC Challenge day in chilly Canberra on Monday.
The Leah Blayney coached squad saw them run riot in the opening match as they defeated Victoria 8-1 with Amy Sayer stealing the show scoring four goals while Mary Fowler, Julia Vignes, Vesna Milivojevic and Shay Evans all chimed in with their own contributions.
While in the Monday afternoon fixture, Football NSW’s U17 Girls defeated the Emerging Jets 5-0 with Holly McNamara bagging a hat-trick while Taylor Ray and Susan Phongsomkham opened their tournament accounts also.
Day two will see the Football NSW Under 17 Girls tackle hosts Capital Football at 1:45pm in their third and final fixture on Tuesday as Wednesday 30th of May will feature a rest day with the final stages of the Challenge taking place on Thursday 31st of May.
