Football NSW’s Under 17 Girls NTC squad continued its good run of form making it 3 from 3 victories after defeating Capital Football 9-0 in Canberra today.

The Girls were simply outstanding with Mary Fowler stealing the show scoring five goals while Sheridan Gallagher, Taylor Ray, Shaedeen Evans and Amy Sayer all found themselves on the scoresheet.

The squad played only the one match on Tuesday after defeating Football Victoria 8-1 and the Emerging Jets 5-0 on Monday.

Coach Leah Blayney has been impressed with how well the Girls have handled themselves scoring an amazing 22 goals in just three matches ending the group stages top of the pops with nine points and ready for the finals on Thursday.

“Most pleasing this week has been how well a special group of players in a national tournament are showcasing they’re quality as well as belief as a team.

“In 180 minutes of football we’ve scored 22 goals, 3 different players have scored hat tricks, goals have come from combination play, individual brilliance, set pieces, defenders breaking up play and finding there passes forward.

“That’s what’s been most pleasing thing about this group, there are 18 girls here all playing & finding success as a team.”

The Girls have the day off tomorrow (Wednesday) before the finals series commences on Thursday.
