2018 Country Cup ready for kick-off this weekend

The 2018 Country Cup tournament will take shape this Queens Birthday Long Weekend as Wagga Wagga, Moruya and Mudgee will play host to the various Boys and Girls age groups.

An expected 640 promising footballers will converge to all three venues in a bid to not only win themselves some silverware and be the pride of their areas, but to further develop as footballers.

Rawlings Park in Wagga Wagga will see the Boys 12s and 13s take place, Moruya will have Gundary Oval for the 14s, 15s and 16 Boys’ and finally the Glen Willow Sporting Complex in Mudgee will showcase the 12s 14s and 16/17s Girls in action.

The Country Cup tournament is conducted by Football NSW for the Country Representative teams and is held over the Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend at venues within the Riverina, Southern and Western Branches.

This tournament affords the Country players the opportunity to play against teams from outside their Branch but is restricted to the Country.

Representatives teams from Western, Southern and Riverina including the likes of Football Wagga Wagga, Orange, Dubbo, Lachlan, Bathurst, Shoalhaven, Far South Coast, Eurobodalla, Wellington and Highlands will all take part in this highly anticipated tournament.
