National CP Football Championships kick off in style

CP-Nationals-D1.1

The 2018 National CP Football Championships kicked off on Thursday as NSW, Capital Football, Victoria and Western Australia all played out the first two rounds at Valentine Sports Park in what were wet and rainy conditions.

NSW gained the upper hand on day 1 as they took out both matches firstly defeating Capital Football 10-0 with Connor Marsh stealing the show scoring a hat-trick while the Blues beat staunch rivals Victoria 2-0 in what was a fiercely contested match to end the day.

Once again Marsh added to his goal scoring tally scoring in the 15th minute with Daniel Campbell adding the second two minutes later pushing his tally to three for the tournament.

The Championships continue tomorrow as NSW hope to keep its 100% winning record in tact where they will face Western Australia and Capital Football before the weekend kicks in.

The Gold Medal Match will take shape this Sunday at 11am with NSW firm favourites at this present stage to take out yet another National CP Football Championship.

Victoria will be chomping at the bit in getting one over their arch-nemesis so expect a strong finish from the Victorians while Western Australia hope to also make a difference by pushing both teams to the limit.
