Ron Routley Oval, home to Inter Lions SC, has been one busy venue hosting Football NSW’s TAFE NSW Summer Football competitions.

Football NSW’s Development Officer Michali Aizen recently visited the precinct and was visibly impressed with the future developments put forward by Inter Lions for Summer Football with a new synthetic state of the art facility to be completed by 2020.

“The buzz around the club is that there will be a synthetic pitch with grandstands, change rooms and canteen built by 2020 next to Ron Routley Oval.

“Having met with club representatives from both Inter Lions and Concord, both club representatives stated that they will be sharing the new synthetic pitch.

“Both clubs are super excited and buzzing for the new field as they will finally have a pitch to play on for Summer Football as well as National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s and Women’s matches.

“The club expects Summer Football numbers to grow next year due to the late entry this season but currently boost 30 teams between Inter and Concord.

“The pitch currently hosts six fields but the new upgrade will allow twelve pitches to be used at once for Summer Football.

“The atmosphere was lively and it was great to see parents encouraging their kids on to of seeing the many participants smiling and having fun playing our wonderful game.”
