Far South Coast has kept up with the TAFE NSW Summer Football trend hosting its own competition thanks to the Eden Killer Whales who have been running mixed leagues.

With well over 100 local players taking part, the Eden Killer Whales have kept football rolling all year round in the football mad area.

Eden Killer Whales Club President Adam Donaldson was appreciative of Football NSW and its Summer Football sponsors TAFE.

“A big thank you to Football NSW for assisting us with this as well as TAFE for promoting Summer Football via our kits.

“I can tell you that all the gear was used, and the bibs were a great hit.”

Football NSW’s Member Services Manager Matt Rippon said the growth of Summer Football has been just as prominent in the regional areas with over 35% of Summer Football centres being based in the NSW regional areas.

“There is a huge desire from local clubs to engage with their communities throughout the entire year in regional areas who are crazy about their football.

“This has been seen in more ways than one at Eden who have continued on with the promotion of our TAFE NSW Summer Football competitions.

“Well done to everyone at the Eden Killer Whales who have made this competition such a success.”
