The 3rd Annual Wagga Futsal Cup begins tomorrow with 22 teams competing across 6 age groups over Saturday and Sunday at Bolton Park Stadium, Wagga Wagga.

The largest Football NSW sanctioned Futsal tournament in Regional NSW has continually grown since its inception in 2017. The competition provides a competitive and fun Futsal tournament for both girls and boys ages 12 to 16.

This year the tournament will host players from as far as Newcastle, Nowra, Canberra, Albury, Cootamundra, Harden, Griffith, Huskisson, Wodonga and of course home-grown talent from Wagga Wagga.

Sam Gray, owner of Wagga Futsal who came up with the idea to host a Futsal Cup to provide more futsal participation opportunities and spread the fast paced game throughout regional NSW is excited about the growth of the tournament and excitement its bring to Wagga Wagga.

“Our numbers have increased this year again and we now have 22 teams entered across the age various groups. Wagga City Wanderers WNPL junior sides are all well represented with Under 12s, 14s and 16s containing sides from the club who are using the event as a team cohesion and bonding event in pre-season as they gear up for their first year in the Capital football WNPL.

Wagga Futsal is pleased to see the club support our grassroots futsal competitions.”

Bolton Park has a viewing area with seats for 150 people, there are excellent changing facilities for teams and the centre is conveniently located in the centre of Wagga Wagga.
