Valentine Sports Park hosted the 2019 CIS Primary Boys Football Carnival on Monday 8th April where the Christian Schools Sports Association were crowned Champions.

Nine zones competed in the prestigious Carnival as CSSA (Christian Schools Sports Association)

IPSHA (Independent Primary Schools Head Associations of Australia), HICES (Heads of Independent Co-Educational Schools), NASSA (New Anglican School Sports Association), ASISSA (All Suburbs Independent School Sports Association), NCIS (North Coast Independent School Sports Association),

HRIS (Hunter Region Independent Schools), SASSA (South Anglican School Sports Association) and

RAS (Riverina Association of Schools) all took part in the one-day event at Football NSW headquarters.

The format was meant to go to a finals series but due to the hot weather that gripped Sydney’s West, CIS representatives decided to remove the finals and go first past the post which meant that CSSA were crowned Champions as they ended up with ten points.

There was also a special match which involved a Possibles v Probables team that acted as an opportunity in selectors choosing an official CIS Primary Boys Football squad.
