Associations collaborate at recent Club, Coach Coordinator Workshop

CCC-Workshop

It was welcoming to see nine member football association staff in attendance at the third 2019 Football NSW Association Club, Coach Coordinator Workshop hosted at Valentine Sports Park recently.

Technical Directors and Football Development Managers were treated to a presentation from Football Federation Australia’s National Community Coach Development Manager Les Bee about the current mechanisms of sport and insights into the current and future mechanisms of football and sport in general.

Bee was appreciative upon seeing the collaboration of all nine member football associations in one room.

“It’s always a great sight to have various Association staff, Member Federation staff and FFA staff in the same room as it provides us with the opportunity to really move forward as a sport and discuss best method practices to support our members on the ground.

“The association staff involved in the CCC Workshops to date have shown that the CCC program is becoming more readily available to local club volunteers that want more support with learning how best to have a positive impact on their group of players.”

Attendees also discussed the major challenges currently being faced on the ground on how to address them, opportunities to develop future mechanisms of support outside of the usual coaching courses and how to best provide members with what they need and what they want.

Football NSW Game Development Officer – MiniRoos, Kevin Guardado Amaya, summarised the positive outcomes of the Association workshops.

“The Associations that are continuously engaged in these workshops have shown a real commitment to improving the experience that we currently provide at our local football clubs.

“With so many children leaving the game every year due to poor coaching, the CCC program has shown that on the run training and support provides the best results to retain players, parents, coaches and club volunteers; especially in the MiniRoos space.”

Football NSW would like to thank and congratulate the following Member Associations for their involvement:
