NSW clubs ready to rock ‘n’ roll for this year’s FFA Cup Round of 32
The official FFA Cup Round of 32 draw was announced on FOX SPORTS hosted by Tara Rushton and Robbie Slater as all five NSW clubs learned their fate on who their opponents will be in Australia’s prestigious knockout Cup competition.
None of our clubs bagged Hyundai A-League opposition although the state will definitely have two teams in the round of 16 with two all NSW affairs set to take shape.
National Premier Leagues 2 NSW Men’s outfit St George FC drew Sydney United 58 while the Mount Druitt Town Rangers will face Manly United as the all-NSW encounters.
Marconi Stallions will be the only team travelling and playing against different opposition in the shape of Tasmanian outfit South Hobart.
In other intriguing ties, Robbie Fowler take charge of his first competitive match as Brisbane Roar boss with a tricky trip south to take on Hyundai A-League champions Sydney FC.
In another all Hyundai A-League tie, premiers Perth Glory host Western Sydney Wanderers, pitting Tony Popovic against his former club.
Legendary APIA Leichhardt attacker Franco Parisi – who was part of the Tigers team that shocked Melbourne Victory last year – and current Western United FC assistant coach John Anastasiadis conducted the draw.
The 16 matches in the Round of 32 will be held over three (3) weeks, across three match nights (either Tuesdays or Wednesdays), with between four to six matches per night beginning in the week of 23/24 July.
FOX SPORTS will provide a FULL LIVE BROADCAST of one match per match night while providing coverage and updates as well as LIVE streaming of all non-broadcast matches.
