Regional SAP Game Day goes boom in Goulburn
The thriving regional NSW city of Goulburn played host to a memorable Regional SAP Game Day on Sunday August 18th with various teams playing a number of games across Under 9’s right up to the Under 12’s.
Teams from Riverina (Griffith and Wagga) were joined by Southern Branch representatives from Southern Tablelands Association, Shoalhaven Association, Southern Branch FC teams as well as Western NSW Mariners FC and Gunghalin United who all took part in what was a festival of football.
Football NSW’s Development Manager Regional Football Andrew Fearnley enjoyed what were ideal football conditions for each participant.
“It was a great opportunity to bring the regional teams together following on from the earlier Game Day held in February.
“These Gala Days play a pivotal role in seeing how each players have progressed over the year.
“Additionally, it also allows us to identify areas that can be worked on to assist further in player development in this important phase of a young footballer’s progress.”
