Football NSW joined the local community of Panania at Marco Reserve on Sunday 13th of October to celebrate another season of grassroots football for Saints Football Club’s ALDI MiniRoos and junior participants.

The celebrations kicked off bright and early as each player received their respective trophies on what was a solid season for the Bankstown & District Soccer Football Association club.

Family and friends also gathered for the ceremony, surrounding a sea of pint-sized, red and yellow jerseys worn by the kids.

The club committee and volunteers then presented the trophies, first with the Coleman award winners followed by the Years of Service plaques.

After the club’s ALDI MiniRoos teams had received their trophies, there was an opportunity to play a handful of intra-club friendly football games one last time to celebrate to occasion.

There were also a variety of other activities for the kids to participate in with Football NSW’s own ALDI MiniRoos inflatable shooting target one of the highlights, organised by Game Development Officers Eraga Magotti and Tim Blackford.

This was accompanied by an inflatable obstacle course and two jumping castles arranged by the club which certainly kept the kids excited.

Saints FC Committee member, Marcella Vaccaro appreciated the importance of such an event.

“This presentation day acknowledges the contributions of nearly 300 junior players, their coaches, managers and club volunteers during the 2019 season.

“Starting from our ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off programs through to Under 17’s.

“A big thank you to Football NSW who volunteered their time to come out and make the day a success.”

While Saints FC Club President Steve Michael was delighted with the current state of participation.

“We have 92 participants and another successful season of good growth for the club has been seen which is great for everyone involved.”

Football NSW would like to congratulate all participants for their contributions this season and thank Saints FC for their commitment in hosting a delightful occasion.
