Upcoming FFA A Licence to be Held at Valentine Sports Park

Valentine Sports Park will host an upcoming FFA A Licence in February 2020, with registrations for the course now open for suitable applicants.

This course sets out to educate candidates 18 years of age and older focusing on the 11 v 11 aspects of the game to apply the National Curriculum holistically to develop Semi Professional, State, and Institute/Academy and National Youth League teams. Furthermore, the course is designed to understand and utilise the Coach Expertise Model, in the improvement of the Performance Phase, Building Blocks and develop the key coaching competencies of Training, Match and Management.

As part of FFA’s strategic plan to improve the quality of experience and learning outcomes for coaches on the FFA/AFC ‘A’ Licence course, an application process is being implemented (from courses started in 2018 and beyond) and limited places on course being offered. The following will be considered as key criteria in determining places on course;

Quality of B Licence Assessment Submission (or subsequent video provided in the Football CV addressing action plan points raised in the assessors B Licence feedback).
Coaches currently involved in an HAL/W League club academy, talented player pathway program or Performance Phase NPL/WNPL team.
Strength and quality of your Football CV (experience), offering evidence of the coaches willingness to seek education outside of ‘formal’ coaching courses via various development opportunities.

Applications will close on the 24th November 2019.

The FFA Coaching Unit will review all applications and notify applicants of their place on the course by the 9th December 2019. Should your application be successful, you will be required to make payment by the 16th December 2019. If payment is not confirmed by this date, your position on course will be automatically removed. Should you be unsuccessful you will be placed on the waiting list if places become available after the final payment cut off.
