Campbelltown Quake v Enfield Allstars

Campbelltown Quake won’t be laying out the welcome mat when Enfield Allstars visit Minto Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Enfield were terrific value in holding comp leaders Mascot to a 3-3 draw last weekend to give them a playoff whiff, but they really need to compile the wins from here on in to figure in post-season consideration.

Campbelltown have been dreadfully unlucky this season to endure nine gut-wrenching defeats in matches they’ve hotly contested without any reward, which is why no-one would enjoy lining up against them at the moment.

The overall ledger between the sides reads 10-wins apiece with an outrageous 9.2 goals-a-game average, Allstars winning the last two encounters.

However, Enfield haven’t won any away fixtures this summer to well and truly match Campbelltown’s six-game winless streak at Minto.

Boomerangs FS v Eastern Suburbs Hakoah

Boomerangs FS host a hungry Eastern Suburbs Hakoah at Q-One Indoor Sports Queanbeyan on Saturday afternoon.

Easts are locked in a three-way third-place tie and will look to consolidate a top-four spot with victory in the capital, especially considering their four-match unbeaten road run severely overshadows three-straight Boomerangs home defeats – a new premier league low-mark for the Territorians.

Also of concern for Boomerangs is a dismal 16-goal return in nine rounds, only scoring more than one goal in four matches, while Hakoah have conceded just 20 goals (second-best defence behind Northside’s 19).

Easts won their round-three clash 3-1.

Mountain Majik v Inner West Magic

Mountain Majik line up against Inner West Magic for a mouth-watering Saturday-evening clash at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium.

Inner West are second on the ladder with Mountain just two points behind them and while Majik have been excellent with just one loss in the past six rounds to push their finals credentials, Magic have been even hotter and haven’t lost since an opening round 7-2 capitulation to leaders Mascot.

Also up Magic’s sleeve is a dominant head-to-head balance of 11 wins and a draw in 14 Majik meetings, including a 6-4 triumph earlier this summer.

Mountaineer Jamie Dib might have other ideas as he’s scored against Inner West in their past three runs.

Mascot Vipers v UTS Northside

A shaken Mascot Vipers play UTS Northside in a top-four showdown at Saturday-night Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre.

Mascot won six of their opening seven rounds to jump out to a six-point lead at one stage before a loss to Inner West and last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Enfield allowed four teams to close the gap – another failure here would throw the premiership race wide open once more.

Northside are enjoying their best-ever premier league season (three points short of their 2017/18 top-effort with five rounds still to play), including winning their last four away trips.

Vipers are also within sight of their highest-ever season points haul (currently five short) and haven’t lost to UTS in two seasons, winning 3-1 in round three, to set up a riveting encounter on Saturday.
