We cover Nepean FA’s Summerhayes Park home to the mighty Springwood United Football Club.
The facility itself is one of Nepean FA’s most used football pitches in the area where the round ball game takes centre stage in what is a football mad location.
Used for not just playing football but also other recreational activities with facilities including tennis and netball/basketball courts as well as a skate park, club house and swings for the kids, it certainly is a well catered pitch.
Springwood United, formed in 1967, is quite iconic within the Nepean football region where it is renowned as a family club catering for all ages.
A huge focus has seen female football teams on the rise while an All Abilities program has also been introduced, ‘The Lyrebirds’ who run skills based training sessions in a fun, accepting and encouraging environment.
