Football NSW has acknowledged the amazing and wonderful support our football family receives from our generous volunteers who continually dedicate their time in ensuring our game continues week to week in line with National Volunteer Week kicking off today.

The ‘National Volunteer Week’ celebrates the six million Australians who volunteer their time across the country, and it is estimated that more than two million spend their time helping with sport in general.

Football NSW CEO Stuart Hodge was appreciative of the tireless hard work and efforts the thousands of football volunteers have continuously put together across our pitches in NSW.

“I want to pay tribute in recognising and saying thanks to our hard working and passionate volunteers who have contributed so much towards our game – they are our unsung heroes.

“Behind every Socceroo and Matilda or indeed community player, there have been many volunteers who have devoted countless hours in putting our participants on the park and for that we need to thank them and cannot wait to see them on our pitches very soon.”
