Action galore as Champions declared at recent Futsal Schools Championships

Futsal fever was at an all-time high as the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool played host to the 2021 Futsal Schools Championships across three wonderful days and three age groups from the 23rd till the 25th of February.   

The Under 13’s category saw Wattle Grove Public School grab all the plaudits across both the Boys and Girls competitions in what was their first ever participated Futsal Schools Championship.

The School celebrated in style clinching both pieces of silverware earmarking them as a hot spot for potential Futsal talent.

The Under 14’s saw Bossley Park High School clinch the Championship in the Boys category while Cecil Hills High School also claimed a memorable double by taking out the Under 14 and 16 Girls age groups.

St Narsai Assyrian Christian College were the final Champions on the day as they took out the Under 16 Boys competition.

Football NSW Futsal Manager Jordan Guerrero was delighted with how the 2021 Futsal Schools Championships unfolded in Liverpool.

“The competition was deemed a success and the feedback I received was that it was great to see the Football NSW Futsal Schools Championships return after a tough 2020 year due to COVID-19.

“There were certainly some quality players who showcased their skills so it was great to watch everyone enjoy themselves playing the wonderful sport of Futsal.
