Griffith Leagues Club recently hosted the Football NSW C-Licence Coaching Course as candidates from the Riverina, Albury-Wodonga, Wagga Wagga in addition to coaches from Griffith as well as Sydney attended.

The C-Licence, which spanned across three weekends, was attended by Football NSW’s Coach Development Manager Chris Adams and Football NSW’s Development Manager for Regional Football Andrew Fearnley as well as Highlands FA Technical Director Nick D’Amore for the first weekend.

Assisting in the course and sessions were players from both Griffith FC and Griffith FA Academy who took part in the coaching sessions.

“It was pleasing to see the development of the coaches over the three weekends and a real positive to be able to put on a C-Licence that is easily accessible to regional coaches,” said  Fearnley.

Fearnley conducted his first C-Licence coaching course under the watchful eye of Adams.

“It has been a great few weeks visiting the Riverina supporting our regional coaches,” said Adams.

“This course has also allowed Andrew to finish his instructor training which will see greater access for regional C-Licence courses but also on the ground C-Licence live assessments which will further develop regional football.”

Following the success of another Regional C-Licence, Football NSW will now look at hosting a Regional B-Licence with updates on this to be announced to the member base shortly.
