Football NSW Conducts Annual General Meeting
Football NSW today conducted its FY20 Annual General Meeting.
During the meeting, Gilbert Lorquet was elected to the Board of Football NSW and Carlos Gonzalez was re-elected. Both were elected to four-year terms.
Louie Apostolovski was afforded Life Membership of Football NSW for his service to the game.
Mr. Lorquet brings extensive experience across corporate and sports administration. He has a demonstrated history of working in the not-for-profit and services industries.
Mr. Lorquet is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the NORTH (Northern Sydney Local Health District) foundation and has also held football positions in NSW. He was previously President of Abbotsford Juniors FC before joining the board of CDSFA and becoming the Deputy Chairman.
The Football NSW Board now consists of Fiona Lang (Acting Chair), Carlos Gonzalez, Gilbert Lorquet, Stephen Loader, Morris Iemma and Appointed Directors Louie Apostolovski, Stephen Hayes and Stephanie Brantz.
The AGM marked the retirement of Chairman Anter Isaac as well as Director James Chetcuti, both of whom served the maximum two consecutive terms.
Both Anter and James have been invaluable members of the Board and have contributed significantly during their time.
Mr. Isaac played an integral role in reforming the game at a national level. An incredible servant of the NSW Football community, he has left his legacy on the sport leading with the utmost dignity and humility.
