FFA Cup Round 5 Preliminary Matches Announced
Football NSW has announced its highly anticipated FFA Cup Round 5 Preliminary fixtures as 32 teams go in search of an elusive Round 6 spot.
An all NPL NSW Men’s top tier encounter will feature as the Marconi Stallions face the Sutherland Sharks in an exciting encounter.
An exciting encounter at Lambert Park will showcase NPL NSW Men’s top tier side APIA Leichhardt facing Men’s 2 outfit Bonnyrigg White Eagles in what promises to be a cracking match in Sydney’s Inner West.
Fresh from knocking out Sydney United 58, NPL 3 NSW Men’s side Bankstown City FC face another tough test when they head to Popondetta Park to take on the Mt Druitt Town Rangers.
Northern Suburbs Football Association outfit UTS FC travel to NPL NSW Men’s top tier side Blacktown City in a tough encounter against Mark Crittenden’s troops. One player that will no doubt be salivating at this match up will be ex-Blacktown City player Dolor Edosomwan who is hoping a return to his old stomping ground will prove fruitful with the Association club hoping to continue on its fairytale run in the Cup.
An all-NPL 2 NSW Men’s encounter will be on the menu as the Northern Tigers take on St George City.
Eastern Suburbs Football Association side Randwick City face a tricky tie at the hands of St George FC while the Glebe Gorillas travel West to take on NPL 2 NSW Men’s outfit Blacktown Spartans.
An all-Association affair will also take centre stage ensuring there will be at least one grassroots club heading into round 6 with Southern Districts FA’s Liverpool Olympic facing Football South Coast’s Unanderra Hearts.
All matches will be played on the 27th, 28th and 29th of April.
Three matches are set to close out Round 4 this evening (Wednesday 21st of April) with Lugarno FC taking on Enfield Rovers at Peakhurst Park (7pm), Mounties Wanderers face the Gladesville Ryde Magic at Cook Park (7:30pm) and Western Rage take on Sydney Olympic at Ray Marshall Reserve (7:30pm).
