The Combined High Schools’ State Football Championships returned in 2021 following the enforced abandonments of 2020 as both Boys and Girls Tournaments were held during the month of May.

Hunter School Sports Association incredibly won both tournaments.

The Boys team recorded their first win since 1976, the first year that such championships were held.

While the Boys’ tournament at Kirrawee was played in very wet conditions, the Girls’ tournament at Jensen Park, Regents Park, was played in sunny weather over the three days. The Girls’ final was played between two non-Metropolitan Regions (Hunter and South Coast), a rare event.

The selected Combined High Schools teams will now play in the All Schools Tournament at Valentine Park on 7th and 8th June.
