Following the recent flood devastation across NSW and Queensland, Football NSW is committed to supporting impacted clubs and communities with the clean-up, recovery, and eventual return to football.

A Football NSW Flood Recovery Hub has been created, comprising a myriad of resources, grant information, and useful contacts. The Hub also includes a Flood Impact Survey which will allow clubs to consistently assess and communicate damages, with the information to be used by Football NSW and Football Australia (FA) to underpin funding requests to Federal and State Governments.

“Our immediate priority is the safety and wellbeing of those affected by the floods across the football family,” said Football NSW CEO Stuart Hodge.

“We appreciate that with such devastation around us, football may not be presently front of mind. However, we want our impacted clubs, members and volunteers to know that we are here to support them.

“When the time is right, we encourage clubs to complete the Flood Impact Survey to assist us in understanding the magnitude of the flood impact across our community.”

Football NSW will continue to work closely with FA and Member Associations on a coordinated approach to the floods, with the Hub to be continually updated with new information and resources as they become known.
