It was a memorable milestone for Referee Chloe Gray and Assistants Marissa Grant and Lucy Northrop who became the first all-female team to officiate a Macarthur Football Association Men’s M-League clash on Saturday 2nd of April when the Narellan Rangers took on the Oran Park Rovers at Nott Oval.

It was a monumental moment for all three girls with Football NSW Referee Education Coordinator Rob Nieuwenhuis delighted with seeing the progress of female officials taking charge of Men’s senior matches.

“It was a great moment to see three young women officiate the Macarthur Association’s M-League Men’s competition for the first time ever.

“A big thanks to Macarthur District Football Referees Association for their ongoing support of our programs, as we will no doubt see more memorable moments such as this from these girls and more.”

Both Chloe and Marissa have come through the Football NSW Referee Academy and all three referees regularly officiate in the National Premier Leagues NSW Women’s competition as well as Macarthur Football Association matches.
