Football NSW League One Women’s outfit Mt Druitt Town Rangers have appointed Dean Stajcic as the new assistant coach for the 2023 season.

Stajcic will work under the club’s first grade coach and Women’s Technical Director Neil Ross.

The Stajcic name is certainly well versed and respected in the Women’s programme at the highest of levels internationally.

It is fantastic and exciting that Dean returns to Rangers.

Popondetta Park has been ‘home’ to both Dean and his brother Alen Stajcic in their formative playing days.

Dean has a real passion for football, a very keen eye for detail that will go a long way towards enhancing and complementing Neil with the Rangers Senior Women’s squad.

Ross and Stajcic go way back, Neil having coached Dean at Youth League in the Under 13s, and their paths have intertwined many times over the years since.

The Ross and Stajcic combination is one that Stewart Montgomery and the Rangers Committee are excited for as the Women’s Programme takes its first steps in our plan to lift teams into finals contention and into a Club Championship promotion position.

Our immediate plan is to become a respected force in the Football NSW League One programme, stepping up our Senior Squads professionalism is critical to this and the Ross and Stajcic combination will indeed do this.
