Round ten of the Open Women’s Futsal Premier League season is upon us and with it we have an enticing set of fixtures as we enter crunch time.

New competition leaders Mascot Vipers welcome Dural Warriors in a top four matchup. While Eastern Suburbs Hakoah face Campbelltown City Quake in a tricky fixture for them. We also have a bonus review for you as the season of giving is approaching.

Mascot Vipers v Dural Warriors; Saturday 12 November, 4:30pm, PCYC Hawkesbury

Competition leaders Mascot Vipers play host to Dural Warriors in a top four clash in Sydney’s North-west.

On the back of a statement week, Mascot Vipers find themselves leading the competition after nine rounds. How is it a statement week? They beat both UTS Northside and Eastern Suburbs Hakoah in the past few days. Sarah Moore scored in both fixtures while Tess Quilligan and Trudy Camelleri joined her on the scoresheet, Wednesday. Full of confidence, it will be interesting to see how they deal with the pressure of being top here.

It was a return to form for Dural Warriors last weekend after their round eight hiccup. With the return of Sarah Easthope among others they proved too strong for Enfield Alllstars. Goals came in twos in that one with Skye Hill, Rachel Perrins and Samantha Nagy giving them confidence leading into this top four clash. They’ve scored nineteen goals in the past four weeks which is a sure sign that their attack has clicked, just in time for a clash with one of two sides who have kept them scoreless this season.

Previous Meeting: Dural Warriors 0-1 Mascot Vipers

Campbelltown City Quake Futsal Club v Eastern Suburbs Hakoah Futsal Club; Saturday 12 November, 4:30pm, Minto Indoor Sports Centre

An inform Campbelltown City Quake host Eastern Suburbs Hakoah as they try and keep their finals hopes alive.

Odds on this finishing 4-2? Yes, three of Campbelltown City Quakes last four games have finished with that score line. Fortunately they have finished on the right end of the two most recent occasions. Last week was perhaps their most memorable as they fielded their most youthful side of the season against Inner West. And it was a case of that youth coming out energetic as they got out to a three-goal lead. They will be without Chantelle Maniti this weekend who is on International duty with the Philippines.

Eastern Suburbs Hakoah come into the fixture in a mixed bag of form. With one victory and one defeat in the past seven days, they will be looking to maintain position in the top three. Last weekend they came away victorious against Mountain Majik while midweek they walked away with nothing against Mascot Vipers. Gisella Pipino has scored in their past four fixtures and sits on a season tally of nine goals.

Previous Meeting: Eastern Suburbs Hakoah 5-2 Campbelltown City Quake.

Enfield Allstars v Inner West Futsal Club; Saturday 12 November, 5:50pm, Morris Iemma Indoor SC

Enfield Allstars and Inner West Futsal Club will be looking to secure their second win of the season when they clash at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre.

It was a rough outing for Enfield Allstars last weekend. Up against a rampant Dural Warriors side, they conceded six goals while not finding the net at the other end. However we only have to look back a few weeks to their game against the Quake to see that this team has the ability to bounce back quickly. They’ll take heart knowing they claimed a point the last time these two met in round three.

They face another side who you would categories as in a transition season. Last week was a familiar tale for Inner West who suffered an injury early on which meant more pressure was placed on their 17s bench players. However there were positives as Burt Martins side moved the ball around and outscored their opponents in the second half with Tara Pender and Sophie Macalpine scoring.

Previous Meeting: Inner West 2-2 Enfield Allstars

Mountain Majik Futsal Club v UTS Northside Futsal Club; Saturday 12 November, 6:20pm, Valentine Sports Park

After a disappointing result last weekend, UTS Northside take to the court to face ana improving Mountain Majik.

In fact we’ll start with the Majik who gave our competition leaders a bit of a scare last weekend. Down by two early in the second half, they brought it back to parity for a brief period of time courtesy of an Alice Thompson brace. It was Savannah Murray though who impressed on the pitch getting plaudits from the opposition after. They’ve only had one game in which they haven’t scored, so surely a result is around the corner.

Just struggling for consistency. Facing their fellow top three sides in as many weeks, it’s been mixed fortunes for UTS Northside. Coming away with a victory against Dural a couple of weeks ago sandwiched between losses to Eastern Suburbs Hakoah and Mascot Vipers, they now know the task ahead of them as we approach finals time. Look out for Halle Smit who has been influential in recent weeks scoring in her last two.

Previous Meeting: UTS Northside 7-1 Mountain Majik
